The Canbury Arms, Kingston upon Thames is a smart community pub with great fresh food, where eaters and drinkers alike are looked after with the same friendly and professional service. The pub has been a hub of the North Kingston community for many years, and re-opened its doors in March 2019 after a top to bottom refurbishment, which has created beautiful restaurant and bar areas, bright and airy private dining room and a lovely terrace for alfresco dining. We regularly add new dishes to our menus as well as daily specials, our drinks line up always has something new and interesting to try and we take great pride in our interiors, so that our guests can relax in beautiful surroundings.
Thank you for your continued loyalty for The Canbury Arms and above all our amazing team.
We will be re-opening from Monday 20th July and we can’t wait to welcome you back responsibly from this date. Booking enquiries can be made via our website.
Our team is working hard on the re-opening plans to ensure the safety of our people and our customers, so please follow us on social media for the latest information.

What we are and what we do:
We think pubs are really for adults. However well-behaved younger children are very welcome seated at a table in the bar up to 7pm and in the restaurant until 7.30pm. We do have high chairs available, a kids menu and baby change facility.
Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in the pub area and on the terrace (not in the restaurant) – please be aware that your pet may be a hazard to unsuspecting customers in a busy pub!
Twickenham Rugby stadium is just 15 minutes away by train, The Canbury Arms is just perfect for your pre match lunch!
Why not combine your visit with a trip to Ham House, or a walk or horse ride through Richmond Park and visit Pembroke Lodge or The Isabella Plantation. Kingston Riding Centre is just up the road. Alternatively you could take a short walk to Kingston town centre for some retail therapy in the Bentalls Centre or enjoy a boat trip down the River Thames to visit Hampton Court Palace.
We are only 5 minutes walk from Kingston Cromwell Road Bus Station and British Rail Station. There are direct trains to London Waterloo, Clapham Junction, Twickenham and Wimbledon to name a few. Click here for details of trains to and from Kingston. Buses run to Sutton, Roehampton, Kingston Hospital, New Malden, West Croydon, Ham and Richmond & Esher. Click here for bus timetables.
There is plenty of street parking around the Canbury Arms its free from 6:30pm. Monday to Saturday and all day on Sundays. During the rest of the week the meter charges are just 80p an hour, you can pay with coins or using the Ringo App or Website. If you find yourself paying for 2 or more hours of parking when you dine with us, we’d be delighted to buy you a drink to compensate for this charge. Simply show us your ticket or the Ringo session on your phone and we’ll give you a pint of beer, small glass of house wine or a soft drink.
