The Canbury Arms, Kingston upon Thames is a smart community pub with great fresh food, where eaters and drinkers alike are looked after with the same friendly and professional service. The pub has been a hub of the North Kingston community for many years, and re-opened its doors in March 2019 after a top to bottom refurbishment, which has created beautiful restaurant and bar areas, bright and airy private dining room and a lovely terrace for alfresco dining. We regularly add new dishes to our menus as well as daily specials, our drinks line up always has something new and interesting to try and we take great pride in our interiors, so that our guests can relax in beautiful surroundings.Book a Table
What we are and what we do:
We think pubs are really for adults. However well-behaved younger children are very welcome seated at a table in the bar up to 7pm and in the restaurant until 7.30pm. We do have high chairs available, a kids menu and baby change facility.
Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in the pub area and on the terrace (not in the restaurant) – please be aware that your pet may be a hazard to unsuspecting customers in a busy pub!
Twickenham Rugby stadium is just 15 minutes away by train, The Canbury Arms is just perfect for your pre match lunch!
Why not combine your visit with a trip to Ham House, or a walk through Richmond Park to visit Pembroke Lodge or The Isabella Plantation. Alternatively you could take a short walk to Kingston town centre for some retail therapy in the Bentall Centre or enjoy a boat trip down the River Thames to visit Hampton Court Palace.
We are only 5 minutes walk from Kingston Bus and British Rail Station. Kingston Rail Station has direct trains to London Waterloo, Clapham Junction, Twickenham and Wimbledon to name a few. Click here for details of trains to and from Kingston.
Cromwell Road bus station has routes running to Sutton, Roehampton, Kingston Hospital, New Malden, West Croydon, Ham and Richmond & Esher. Click here for bus timetables.
There is plenty of street parking around the Canbury Arms its free from 6:30pm. Monday to Saturday and all day on Sundays.
